S.Phoraris was born in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. to Cypriot parents fleeing after the invasion of their homeland. From a young age, he was fascinated with storytelling, both as a voracious consumer and as a creator.
Right before starting junior high, S.Phoraris’s family returned to Cyprus. After spending his childhood in a foreign country to him and completing an uneventful mandatory military stint, he returned to his childhood home of West Lafayette, IN to pursue his degree in Fine Arts with a minor emphasis in Creative Writing.
