The aim of this international workshop is to provide a forum for the world`s leading scientific and technical communities to interact and address the main issues and the key challenges in geoenvironmental and geotechnical research and applications in the beginning of the 21st century. As a result the efficiency and sustainability of the industry will be improved, environmental and health impacts will be assessed in measurable terms, and therefore consumption of mineral resources will be rationally reduced, quality of life will be improved and social impacts will be minimized.
