Περιγραφή
The Sporades, or Northern Sporades, are a group of 19 islands in the Aegean Sea, located north of Evia and east of Magnesia.
Geographically, they are positioned to the west and north in the Aegean, close to mainland Greece. When describing the islands of the Sporades,
one inevitably talks about their relaxed atmosphere, their rich historical heritage, their lush landscapes, and their crystal-clear waters.
In addition to their similarities, each island has its own character and unique charm. The four largest islands among them are Skiathos, Skyros, Skopelos, and Alonissos. In ancient times, the Sporades referred to all the scattered islands in the Aegean, except those surrounding the sacred island of Delos. In the shades of pine trees and the sea, the Sporades impress at first sight. Pines roll down to their emerald shores, dreamlike beaches, Pelion-style architecture, natural beauties, imposing monasteries, and authentic island atmosphere create the image of the
Northern Sporades.
