The "Konstantinos G. Karamanlis" Foundation organized and hosted an international academic two-day conference entitled "The Founders of European Integration" on March 27 and 28, 2012. Participants included the representatives of the five corresponding institutions, i.e., the "Jean Monnet pour I`Europe", the "Robert Schuman", the "Konrad Adenauer Stiftung", the "Alcide de Gasped" and the "Paul-Henri Spaak", in addition to the "Konstantinos G. Karamanlis" Foundation.
The central theme of the meeting was the vision and the strategy of the founders of new Europe in the aftermath of the Second World War, as they managed to overcome centuries-old national rivalries in order to build a united Europe which constitutes one of the greatest contemporary achievements worldwide.
La Fondation "Constantin G. Caramanlis" a organise a son siege, les 27 et 28 mars 2012, un colloque scientifique international intitule "Les Fondateurs de l`integration europeenne", avec la participation des representants de cinq institutions europeennes a vocation analogue: "Jean Monnet pour I`Europe", "Robert Schuman", "Konrad Adenauer Stiftung", "Alcide de Gasperi", "Paul-Henri Spaak", ainsi que la Fondation "Constantin G. Caramanlis".
Le colloque etait centre sur la vision et la strategic des fondateurs de la nouvelle Europe, qui, apres la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, ont reussi a surmonter des antagonismes nationaux seculaires et a construire I`Europe Unie, ce qui constitue une realisation marquante de notre epoque.
